Safety & Health Excellence Awards shortlist Thrive Homes for Team of the Year
The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Team at Thrive Homes has been shortlisted as Team of Year at the annual Safety & Health Excellence (SHE) Awards.
The awards that celebrate innovations and achievements in health and safety, have recognised the team at Thrive Homes for their work providing services and a working environment that keeps everyone safe from harm both physically and mentally.
We are proud to have created a positive health, safety & wellbeing culture that is driven by collaboration, training and safe systems of work. The team – in collaboration with colleagues – manages a regular programme of clear, concise communications in the form of videos and infographics, which are delivered to customers and colleagues alike.
Over the past 12 months achievements include:
- an Assurance Rating of ‘Reasonable Assurance’ from Pennington Choices
- consistent performance around the 'Big Six' with water, fire, asbestos and lift checks achieving 100% compliance whilst gas and electrical remain at 99.9% and 98.5% respectively due to access issues
- a significant reduction of absence across the business since the launch of Thrive’s Wellbeing Commitment including a reduction from mental health related absence from 53% of all absences to 31%.
