Online accessibility

Our website has been designed and tested in accordance with the latest version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at Level AA.

ReachDeck is our accessibility tool bar that adds the following services to our website:

  • text-to-speech
  • reading aloud
  • translation
  • enlarged text
  • simplified page feature (turns page into basic view).

This provides website visitors with instant access to assistive features and helps to reduce barriers between our digital content and diverse online audiences.

Accessibility on the phone

If English isn’t your first language, we can arrange for an interpreter to help you communicate with us. Call us on 0800 917 6077, and we will work with Language Line to translate your phone call.

Where possible, we always advise you to contact us using our digital channels first, but if you need to speak to one of our team, we can make sure to arrange this for you.

When we hold events, we’ll always ask if you require a translation service. Our British Sign Language interpreters require 10 days to attend, so please let us know as soon as possible if you require this.

We want to make sure that our printed communications are as easy to read as possible. To help with this we offer:

  • Large print
  • Braille
  • Audio (for newsletters only, this can be done on our website using our accessibility tool to read the content)
