Landmark Deal Agreed to Deliver Hertsmere’s Largest Ever Affordable Housing Scheme

A landmark deal has been agreed that will see the delivery of 186 new affordable homes at Lyndhurst Farm in Borehamwood, representing the largest single contribution to affordable housing in Hertsmere’s history.

Having obtained planning permission in 2024, Griggs and Success Property have now agreed a deal with affordable housing provider Thrive Homes, with The Hill Group appointed as the main contractor to deliver the scheme. Originally approved with an already unprecedented 80% affordable housing provision, the development will now be delivered as 100% affordable housing, across a mix of Social Rent, Affordable Rent, and Shared Ownership tenures.

• The homes will be complemented by a range of community benefits, including:
• A purpose-built community building, acting as a hub for residents and local groups.
• The expansion of existing allotments, increasing capacity and improving accessibility, with modern amenities including vehicle access, parking, water, electricity, and on-site facilities.
• A £550,000 investment into local transport and infrastructure, including public transport improvements and new pedestrian and cycle links.
