New Community Grant Fund to Boost Local Projects in Three Rivers District

Grove Court Topping Out Drone

Thrive Homes, in partnership with Howarth Construction, has launched a new community grant fund to support local projects and community groups across the Three Rivers District area.

The fund forms part of the Grove Court redevelopment project in Croxley Green and will provide grants of up to £500 to initiatives that help strengthen communities, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for local residents. All funded projects must be delivered by September 2026.

Applications are now open and will close on Friday 27 February. All applications will be reviewed by representatives from Thrive Homes, Howarth Construction and a local councillor.

Chantelle Barker, Director of Development at Thrive Homes, said; “Our Grove Court redevelopment is more than just bricks and mortar – it’s an opportunity to create modern, affordable homes and serve this district for generations to come. Through the Community Grant Fund, we are proud to support projects that will have a positive and meaningful impact for residents and the wider community.”

Ben Searle, Managing Director for Howarth Construction added: “We’re delighted to be launching this fund in partnership with Thrive Homes as part of our commitment to invest in communities where we build new homes. We know that local groups and volunteers are at the heart of vibrant communities, and this fund will help them continue their work.”

The Grove Court development will deliver 42 modern one-and-two-bedroom homes for social and affordable rent, replacing 27 outdated bedsits. The project has already created local jobs and apprenticeships, and the new Community Grant Fund is the latest step in delivering lasting social value to the local community.
