Homes England and Accent Partnership visit Thrive Homes developments delivering 100% affordable housing

3 December 2025

Thrive Homes was proud to welcome representatives from Homes England and Accent Strategic Partnership to two of our latest developments, both delivering 100% affordable housing for local communities.

Joined by local councillors and partners, the visits showcased Thrive’s commitment to regeneration, community investment, and providing high-quality homes that meet diverse needs.

Grove Court, Croxley Green

At Grove Court, guests joined Thrive to mark the topping out ceremony celebrating structural completion of the scheme with Howarth Construction. The development will provide 42 one- and two-bedroom homes for social and affordable rent housing up to 121 people, replacing 27 outdated bedsit flats that were no longer fit for purpose.

This regeneration project demonstrates Thrive’s focus on creating modern, sustainable homes that enhance residents’ quality of life. Our commitment to invest in the local community is evident on this development with:

  • 12% of the workforce being local labour including the procurement of locally based organisations
  • 14 apprenticeships for young people, equating to 6% of the total workforce
  • A community grant scheme for local organisations, due to launch in January 2026.

Lyndhurst Farm, Borehamwood

The second visit took place at Lyndhurst Farm, where construction by Hill Group is underway on a mixed community scheme of 186 homes for shared ownership, social rent, and affordable rent that has the potential to house 757 people. This major development will not only help meet housing demand in Borehamwood, but provide community a range of community benefits including:

  • A purpose-built community centre that will be gifted back to Hertsmere Council
  • Expansion of existing allotments with onsite welfare facilities
  • A £550,000 investment into local transport and infrastructure, including public transport improvements and new pedestrian and cycle links.

Partnership and progress

The visits highlighted the strength of collaboration between Thrive Homes, Homes England, and Accent Partnership in tackling housing challenges and delivering affordable homes at scale.

“It was great to see two sites taking shape, both receiving Homes England grant funding through Accent Strategic Partnership. Grove Court is on target to be finished next summer and Lyndhurst Farm will be the largest scheme in our current programme.” said Alex Francis, Development Programme Manager at Accent Group.

“We are delighted to showcase these developments, which reflect our commitment to regeneration and affordability. With Homes England grant funding through Accent’s Strategic Partnership we have been able to unlock homes for social and affordable rent to support local demand.” said Alix Green, Executive Director - Growth & Investment.

Both schemes underline Thrive’s purpose to provide and manage housing that helps individuals and families secure a good quality, safe home that they can afford.
