Helen brings extensive leadership experience from across the social housing, local government, health, and charity sectors. A former CEO, Chair and Board Director, she has successfully led through transformation programmes, mergers, and delivered strong governance and regulatory compliance.
In April 2025, Helen retired from full-time work, following the merger of Network Homes and Sovereign Housing Association to form Sovereign Network Group. As well as the assignment at Thrive, Helen also serves on several Housing Association Boards and is the Chair of Moat Homes Ltd. Her previous governance roles include Chair of the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations and non-executive positions at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Housing Trust.
A former housing officer, Helen’s career reflects a deep-rooted passion for equity, community, and public service. She is widely respected for her expertise in governance, risk, and regulatory compliance, and remains a powerful advocate for affordable housing and social justice.
At Thrive, Helen is overseeing strategic planning and organisational change whilst the organisation is in merger negotiations with Watford Community Housing.
