Thrive has established itself as an important community partner making a lasting impact on neighbourhoods and individuals. We support projects that improve people’s lives and their communities. Our stronger relationship with our community partners helps us deliver a better community for everyone.
Thrive GIVE (Generating Income for Voluntary Enterprises) includes the ‘Give your Time’ staff volunteering programme, ‘Give Grants’ community fund, ‘Give Support’ scheme which links charities with private sector support and ‘Give a Voice’ campaign to ensure customers have their say.
Give your Time a team of 70 volunteers have been working to improve the communal area in and around Mead Place, in Berry Lane, Mill End, for local people to enjoy. Work has involved clearing overhanging trees and undergrowth, creating seated areas with benches, installing gates and fencing, moving and updating laundry drying areas, providing covered bike stores and constructing new bin storage areas.
Give Grants Thrive Homes & Three Rivers Community Safety Partnership is working with local mental health charity Herts MIND Network to launch the new Mental Health Assertive Outreach Pilot project and appoint a full-time Domestic Abuse Case Worker. A £6,000 grant has been awarded to help fund the mental health pilot and £5,000 towards the domestic abuse project.
Give Support Our contracts with partners include provision for achieving social value, by encouraging our contractors from the private sector to invest in local charitable and voluntary organisations, with the resulting benefits for our residents and communities. Charities flagged up various areas where they needed help, including IT support, HR advice, and health and safety training, as well as hands-on projects such as window cleaning and gardening.
Give a Voice we work with the Customer Experience Panel and use your feedback when evaluating our service standards, looking at future plans for the service, agreeing how performance will be monitored and reported, and shaping wider consultation. Get involved and have your say about the services offered by Thrive. We regularly consult on the following topics through focus groups, independent phone surveys and conversations.
