This role will provide specialist support and advice to the Business and colleagues. This is a highly collaborative role, where close interaction with colleagues is expected, and encouraged, to define, refine and improve the reporting function for Thrive.
The immediate challenge is to migrate the reporting off the legacy reporting system onto PowerBI.

About the Role
You will develop and maintain a business intelligence framework that identifies the data drivers for each area of the business and enables a “direction of travel” style reporting capability. A very important part of this role is leading the submission process for key reports for regulators and benchmarking activities using project management skills and a high level of data analysis. In order to help the business to improve performance you will collect, validate, interpret and present data in new insightful ways. This role will require you to collaborate, support, challenge and advise Business Leads and Senior Management in terms of performance information to aid their decision making through community insight mapping, benchmarking, required policy and best practice. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure they have all the information and tools required to interpret and understand key reporting data.
You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent experience, with the following certifications and skills;
Microsoft SQL MCSA
DAX, M, MDX
Having skills with R and Python would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail and analytical approach
Ability to present and communicate analysis to both a technical and non-technical audience
A good understanding and experience of how businesses collect, use and act on key performance data
An ability to select, scrutinise and analyse information – both internal and external – that aids strategic decision making.
Ability to engage with Business Leads and Senior Managers. Clarify requirements. Ensure information is shared, understood and used to help influence performance improvement.
Ability to demonstrate insight in data analytics, and to communicate this effectively and concisely.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both groups and individuals at all levels.
A collaborative approach to defining requirements and clarifying understanding
Report production that succinctly expresses data messages, insights and issues
Coach and develop colleagues in the use of reporting software and best practice.
A minimum of 2 years as a data reporting analyst or data insight role.

Experience in working within social housing or the public sector space
