Safety in communal areas

Safety warning: untidy communal areas endanger lives

You must keep the communal areas in and around your home clear.
Anything which blocks the way or is flammable can put lives at risk if there is a fire.

Communal areas like halls, stairs and landings must be kept clear of items which cause an obstruction such as rugs, furniture, bicycles, pushchairs or toys.

If you are worried about items blocking the shared areas where you live, please let your Neighbourhood Officer know.
