Repairs Service

You can report your repairs either in person, by telephone, letter or by e-mail.

Please give your name, address and daytime telephone number as this will help us to arrange access for an inspection or for a contractor to carry out the necessary repair.

It would be helpful if you could as much information as possible with regards as to the type of repair required, its location and the extent of any damage caused.

Making an appointment

When reporting the repair you can ask for a morning or afternoon appointment for the inspector or contractor to visit.  Please also let us know of any particular access arrangements which are convenient to you e.g. to avoid school dropping off and collection times.

Once the work has been issued to a contractor you will receive a notification slip giving you details of the work, the name of the contractor, telephone number and target date for the repair to be completed by.  Unless it is a communal or emergency repair, the contractor will contact you to make an appointment.  Alternatively, you can contact them directly and make an appointment.  In the case of urgent work the notification slip will act as a confirmation slip and you may therefore receive it in the post after the work has been completed.

Satisfaction with the Repairs Service

Thrive Homes wants to be sure all tenants are satisfied with the repairs carried out in their homes.  When a repair order is issued the notification slip also acts as a customer satisfaction slip.  There are some questions about the repairs service which we would like you to answer by ticking the appropriate boxes, and providing us with any other comments you want to make about the repairs service and return the slip.  No stamp is required.

This information helps us to monitor the performance of our contractors so that we can provide the best possible service to you.  Any slips which indicate an unsatisfactory standard of work will be re-inspected, or the contractor will be recalled.

Right to Repair

As a tenant of Thrive Homes, you have rights to ensure that those repairs which are Thrive Homes' responsibility are carried out within specified timescales.  For full details of this scheme, please contact the Housing Maintenance team or refer to your Tenants' Handbook
