New standards for housing associations - What do you think?

The TSA (the regulator of Housing Associations) has written a proposed regulatory framework. This was written in consultation with tenants nationally, and sets out the standards for landlords which be at the centre of how the TSA regulates Thrive Homes.

The standards focus on six areas:

  • tenant involvement and empowerment,
  • home (including repairs and maintenance)
  • tenancy (including allocations and rent)
  • neighbourhood and community (including anti-social behaviour)
  • value for money, and
  • governance and financial viability

So, what will this mean for Thrive Homes' tenants?

  • A greater focus on issues that matter most to you, such as repairs, tackling anti-social behaviour and affordable rents
  • More opportunities to have your say, to get involved and hold Thrive Homes to account
  • More feedback from us as your landlord, including an annual report

Before finalizing and setting the new Framework, the TSA wants to know what you think of the national standards they've drawn up for social housing landlords.

You can find a brief guide to the national standards here
